This is the first of a number of blog entries that I am going to make about the role of Technology at Toby House. I am going to make this post 'stick' to the front page for a while until others start putting up their own purposeful blog entries.
I plan to cover the following topics individually and will provide links to the pages when I do create them.
This forum is for discussing the software in use. If you have problems with using it, this is probably a good place to ask/comment.
Some things to be aware of...
A list of changes made to the Application Server in development should always be available at (login required)...
http://srv2.tobyhouse.com/trac/wiki/CurrentDevelopment
the complete API should always be available at...
http://srv2.tobyhouse.com/doc/app/index.html
but if you have questions, problems, this is a good place to ask.
I'm quite sure that some people are asking that question and it's a reasonable question to ask. I would expect that most people who are not avid Internet users would ask that question.
I have essentially duplicated all of the static content that is on www.tobyhouse.com onto this web site and it is my hope that we shut it down and drive all of that traffic to this web site. The web site that is presently www.tobyhouse.com is static, it has no capacity for change with the exception of instructing someone technically inclined to make the changes and appearance changes require a complete makeover which is time consuming and costly if you get a professional web designer. But it's the static part that is the problem.
When you add content, you probably would want to create a 'blog' entry. A page entry is typically for static content that is fastened into place somewhere.
The following markup tags are permitted...
< a > is for creating a link somewhere. Typical usage would be < a href="some_link_somewhere" > Title for the link < /a >
< em > is for Italics (Emphasis)
< strong > is for Bold
< cite > is for citations (code/numbers)
< ul > is for unordered list. Note that unordered lists must also have < li > list items
